How does it all work?

At Davis Bridal we enjoy helping you select your wedding gown and aim to make it as easy and as stress-free as possible. To try on gowns we offer a consultation appointment, our experienced consultants work with you to find the gown that is perfect for your body shape, personality & location, we help you in the fitting room to put the gowns on & lace up or zip and pin in place. We allow an hour on Saturdays and during the weekdays you can have 1 1/2 to 2 hours or book an exclusive appointment outside of normal hours if you want a longer time.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, we highly recommend that you have one to avoid disappointment. You can just call in and talk to us about having a consultation at any time. We can book you in for a consultation or you can just go ahead at the time if we have space available.

How much is a consultation?

Our normal consultation fee is $40, which is fully redeemable on to your gown should you choose to purchase with us. This is paid on your first visit and then waived for any other consultations that you may require. We also offer an exclusive consultation where you can have the store to yourself. Ask for more information.

Can I bring friends and family to my consultation?

Yes you can but we suggest you limit it to 2 or 3 people, we find it can become overwhelming to the bride to have too many all with their own ideas of how she should look and it becomes quite crowded especially if another bride is there at the same time.

I have seen a gown on your designer website, can you get it in for me?

Yes, we can order any of the gowns listed by our suppliers, we don’t necessarily have a sample for you to view (we would love to have them all but there are too many) but we can get it on your behalf. Often we have something similar so you can try for shape.

What is the procedure once I have decided on my dress?

We will take your measurements and discuss the options for the best size to order for you and confirm your color choice. Our standard terms are 50% deposit when you order and the balance once the dress arrives in store. We offer payments by credit card, EFTPOS, cash and direct deposits.

Once I order how long will it take for my dress to arrive?

Our standard orders take 3 to 4 months depending on the supplier, there are rush orders available if you do not have that much time, at an extra cost.

I am getting married in a month!! What are my options?

We do sell our gowns straight off the rack and we will always do any fittings and alterations no matter how short the time frame.

Will my dress require alterations?

Yes, most dresses require some form of alteration. Normally a small adjustment at the bust and the hem are the minimum. We can also do major changes to dresses if required, we offer an on site alteration service and all our consultants are professional seamstresses. All alterations are an additional cost to your gown.

I have seen your dresses available on line, are they the same dress and why are they so cheap?

No these are not the same dresses, even though the photo you see is the same as the one on our website or the designers website these are cheap copy dresses and the images have been stolen. In most cases your dress may arrive and be a very poor imitation in poor quality fabric & lace. Your gown may also have been made using child labour in appalling conditions, that is how they keep the costs down. All of our dresses are only available through approved stockists.
